About Helen Malone:
Helen is an advanced doctoral candidate at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she also works for two research institutes. Prior to her grad studies, she worked in Washington DC for education policy non- and for-profit organizations. Her research focuses on youth development in school and out-of-school time contexts. Helen holds two masters degrees, from Harvard and University of Maryland, College Park. In her free time, she enjoys laughing with her husband, doing yoga, lindy hop, kung fu, and cooking gourmet foods with her friends.
