Why Twitter Needs to be Stopped

Of all the new communication tools to be introduced in the last ten years, there is none more devastating to society and culture than Twitter. It is by the nature of it's programming, forcing people to become self-indulgent, narcissistic, and insecure. Humans were not meant to communicate (or rather announce in global scale) in 140 character bursts. It is ineffective at conversation, advertising, and monetizing and extraordinary at turning people into self-centered jerks.

About Mitch Malone:

Mitch Malone is the New Media Editor for a city/regional magazine in Annapolis. He enjoys learning how technology can be used in a progressive way. He believes that video and the web can democratize societies and peoples in ways that traditional government can't. He also deals with Twitter on a daily basis, much to his chagrin.
